Love this place, the grounds are so beautiful, and the food is amazing. They make their own ice-cream, chocolate mint is made with fresh mint! So yummy and refreshing.

What a wonderful place to have a Sunday brunch. The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is superb.

The food was excellent, the location was romantic, and the service was superb. I'm not used to paying $360 for a meal for two. In every respect. it was a memorable experience. And I did get laid. So that was good. : )

It was great to be back at one of our favorite spots for very special occasions. The food was outstanding; the waiter was kind and attentive. A couple of flaws...I was served duck rather than the halibut that I had ordered, which resulted in my husband eating his meal while I waited for mine...I might have expected a price adjustment but there was none. They were slow to serve the bread compared to past experience...overall still a wonderful place for special occasions!

The gnoochi dish is amazing!

Great setting, friendly and professional service. Sometimes places like this have uninspiring food but not Stonehouse! Food is incredibly good! Even macaroni and cheese is just great. And ice cream with real mint is a nice surprise! Try ribs for main - you will not be disappointed!

The surroundings are beautiful and this is what makes the restaurant so romantic. I enjoyed the olives and bread that they served before the meal. The presentation of the food is artistic and the flavors and quality of the meal was excellent.

Our meal here was delicious, and the service was excellent! The grilled octopus and beet salad were great to start with. We also had the halibut and scallops, which were done perfectly. We finished with the chocolate soufflé, which is a must try!! We will definitely be back :)

For those that get it - SB is a magical place. SYR is one of those very special places in SB that take it up another notch. The Stonehouse is an occasion restaurant for us and where we hosted our rehearsal dinner a couple years ago. The entire property oozes in atmospheric goodness and that does not exclude the Stonehouse. It is a place that will bring you to your happy place. Service exceptional. Food delicious. Can't wait for SYR to reopen this year!

Wow. Amazing place to grab some locally sourced food. I have never had abalone and decided to give it a try. The texture was new to me, and I didn't care for it. However, the flavor was amazing! I also ordered the parmesean crusted halibut. Tasty!!!The atmosphere is romantic. The service is great. The food is amazing. You pay for everything as it is expensive. You get what you pay for. Save up your money and give this place a try!

Fantastic food with nice customer service

The place is remarkably beautiful. The wait staff is excellent. The food is awful. A Zagat rating of 23 is very generous. When you walk into a place which is this beautiful and is equally expensive, you would expect that they could make better food than an average diner. The answer is "NO". The food is that bad.

I am so happy that Stonehouse has finally reopened! My husband and I had dinner there last Tuesday evening and everything was just perfect! The food was wonderful and our waiter was outstanding. This is a special place for us and after the devastating fire and mud slide we were sad and hoped this beautiful place would reopen. We hope to spend many more evenings at San Ysidro Stonehouse!

Wow with a capital W! Yes, it’s expensive and exclusive but if you are in for a top notch , classy one of kind experience, it’s worth it. The whole ranch looks amazing if you wish to have a stroll before or after dinner I would highly recommend it

Tonight was a memorable 66th birthday celebration for my husband. We were visiting from Omaha and our son and daughter-in-law suggested this beautiful location with its ocean views. We ordered from the vegetarian and regular menu and absolutely everything we had was delicious. We ended with more flames and enjoyed bananas foster and chocolate soufflé, I suggest the extra melted chocolate and whipped cream be added to your coffee for one last piece of decadence.

Beautiful setting with great food. It's hard to beat.

My wife and I came here when checking out the ranch (SYR) before selecting it as our wedding venue. We have been here 5 times since and not once have we been disappointed. They also catered our wedding and every guest said that was the best food they have had. We had the chicken and halibut. The chicken tortilla soup is a must, and so is the blood orange margarita. I felt love the Stonehouse restaurant and San Ysidro Ranch!

The setting is gorgeous. Typically the food is delicious, but last night my halibut was overdone (unforgivable given the cost). The service was TOO intense. By this I mean the team of 3-4 never stopped hovering. We ordered drinks and dinner all at the same time and specifically asked for some time to enjoy the cocktails. The drinks came out and 1 minute later the appetizers arrived! The servers are older and very experienced and maybe that accounts for their "I'm so bored with you" attitude. They didn't seem to like their job or us ... hard to tell. I asked our waiter, half kidding if Oprah eats here (she lives very close). Answer - We aren't allowed to talk about it. Really? That means she does, obviously. I have been there 3 times and won't be back. Too many other nice restaurants in Santa Barbara that are a LOT more fun and have comparable cuisine. (go there when you can still see the view)

The Stonehouse was a great experience and a fun restaurant to visit... it feels like a different world. It was fancy and fun at the same time. I would recommend this place for someone that wants to try something different or a special occasion and allow time to walk around the gardens. I would definitely make a reservation...

Excellent. Great food, service and environment! Nice outside tables.

The food was top notch. The servers were appropriately simpering. The service though was glacial. Two hours +. All in. And why are they so parsimonious with the delicious bread?

Food was delicious 😋. Very high-end, but the ranch is worth seeing. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and accommodating. Only complaint is that the terrace is too dark to see the food. You can turn up the lanterns at your table. We did. It made all the difference.

I'm getting more strict in my evaluations, but this time I have to recognise a 5 stars to this restaurant. Charming place, very good service, well balanced menu and finally excellent food. Yes it is expensive but you value for your money. If again it n santa barbara I will come back.

Excellent SERVICE and very good choice of foods

Amazing food, service and hospitality. The wine list is one of the most epic in the world! Everyone here is there to help and make sure you have an amazing time. Nothing short of perfect.

This was our first visit after the tragic mudslides.  The ranch is looking great! We had an outstanding evening from champagne in the parlor to scallops and steak diane on the patio!  Food and ambience were as usual excellent.  We were out for our 11th wedding anniversary and our server Eric S. made the evening absolutely magical. Thank you Eric and all the stonehouse staff!  We will most definitely be back.

The food is amazing. Everything ordered was near perfection. Drinks are done great. You would hope so for the price. The staff are well mannered and vigilant. If you're looking to really celebrate a special occasion you can't go wrong here. Just dont order the $6999.99 bottle of champagne unless you're really rolling in it. XD
